Will + Adrienne|Oceano Hotel Weddings|Half Moon Bay Wedding Photography|Kirsty Edwards

I honestly do not know where to begin telling you about my love affair with Adrienne + Will. They were kind enough to meet with me this time last year at Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital where I had been admitted long term due to preterm labor. Eager not to let being bedridden spoil my opportunity to meet with clients for 2011, I invited them to stop by my bedside hoping they would not be deterred. Luckily I was granted my first trip outside in a wheelchair for our meeting and was thrilled to breathe in the fresh air. I was delighted to receive an email from them after our meeting asking me to photograph their special day.

Adrienne and Will said ‘I do’ at the quaint Methodist Episcopal Church at Half Moon Bay followed by a reception filled with friends and family at the Oceano Hotel and Spa. The day was perfect, beautiful, emotional and bursting from the seams with love. I was honored and delighted to be there and had an absolute ball.

I was also thrilled to receive these lovely words from Adrienne after she received her images

“Kirsty- I have so much love for you and Rob, I didn’t even imagine that the photos would be able to capture how I felt during our Wedding day and they absolutely did. I could not have asked for anything better, thank you for making our wedding even more memorable than it already was.”Adrienne

Sarah + Matt|Charles Krug Winery Wedding|Napa Wedding Photographer|Kirsty Edwards Photography

Happy New Year to you all and thanks for your patience. I now have some time on my hands to finally blog all my beautiful weddings from 2011 and beyond :D Sarah and Matt travelled all the way from Atlanta for a destination wedding in Napa. A beautiful October day with a slight breeze and a stunning sunflower theme (one of my favorite flowers :) an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour followed by dinner in the Charles Krug Winery Carriage House Great Room. Having never met prior to the Big Day it was an honor getting to know them both on such and important day and their love for each other was abundantly clear and their smiles contagious. I feel blessed to have been invited to capture their special day. Here are just a few of my favorites of the day, it was hard to narrow down. Sarah+Matt, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!! Huge thanks to Stephanie Cole of A Dream Wedding for her amazing planning and communication.

Meet Emily|Half Moon Bay Portrait Photography|Kirsty Edwards Photography

I had the pleasure of photographing Emily and her parents yesterday, we did some family pictures at a very windy Montara Beach and surrounds then I sneaked off with Emily alone to a local farm to get these amazing images of her. A gift from her parents for Christmas. I might add Emily is not a model, although she should be!! I think you will all agree, she is absolutely stunning! – I had so much fun taking these images, please enjoy!

Catching up on blogging, watch this space….lots of weddings coming to the blog soon.

Kirsty

Welcome to the world|Baby Logan|Kirsty Edwards Photography

Say hello to Baby Logan! Lisah+Jeremy welcomed into the world this gorgeous wee man on October 3rd, so tiny and new :-) You forget how tiny newborns are! Isn’t he adorable and the perfect head of hair.

Lisah was sent to me by one of my favorite brides Genevieve whose wedding I photographed back in 2009 and I remembered Lisah well from the wedding day. It was so lovely to document the arrival of their first born.

I have to admit, gorgeous couple and very cute baby, add to that some very cool artwork, chairs, chalkboard and lots of natural light – I am one excited and inspired photographer- I didn’t want to leave! Having just become a mommy myself, its even more special and emotional capturing these special memories as I know how fast they grow and how quickly they change. Anyway enough of my hormonal gushes ;) please enjoy some of my favorites! Kirsty xo

Stephanie+Gavin Married|St Dominics Wedding Photography|The Green Room Wedding Photography|Kirsty Edwards

Stephanie and Gavin were such a pleasure to photograph and I was both honored and excited they picked me to photograph their special day at the beautiful St Dominics Catholic Church and the stunning Green Room in downtown San Francisco! Gavin is from Ireland (a hop, skip and a 1 hour plane ride from my motherland) so you can imagine my excitement when I found out friends and family were coming from afar. I could also talk really really fast and be understood :) fantastic!! and I also didn’t need a translator to chat with all these lovely guests ;) As you can see from my images, everyone had an absolute ball and I was so happy to be a part of it! Stephanie and Gavin, CHEERS, I wish you both a long, happy marriage filled with lots of beers and beautiful healthy children :-) Hugs, Kirsty xo

Megan+John Engaged|San Francisco Engagement Photography|Kirsty Edwards Photography

Meet Megan, John and Finnegan, aren’t they all adorable. Megan and John brought him along for their engagement session and it was his first time out in the real world. Lucky guy, he got to sniff some lavender and feel sand between his paws all on a beautiful sunny day in San Francisco. When does that ever happpen, sun in San Francisco? :) We started at the Lyon Street steps – which would whip anyone into shape walking that everyday :) and then we jumped in the car down to Chrissyfield to catch the beautiful sunset. Here are just a few of my faves from their session. Please enjoy xo

Sofie+Bobby Married|Eldorado Kitchen Weddings|Sonoma Wedding Photographer|Kirsty Edwards

I’m not sure where to start telling you all about Sofie+Bobbys beautiful wedding day at the stunning Eldorado Kitchen, Sonoma. I approach every wedding with the same excitement and passion of my 1st wedding, I truly do ❤ my job and S+B’s Big Day was no exception – from the minute they stopped by the studio and I heard all the details I knew we were the perfect match and it wasn’t long until their big day arrived! Sofie is from Denmark and it was a pleasure to see lots of close family and friends making the trip over the water to celebrate and witness this joyous occasion. It was a lot of fun photographing the joining of cultures and witnessing how they incorporated the danish traditions into their celebations. You will all be familiar with the tapping of glasses for the Bride and Groom to kiss but in Denmark if your guests stamp their feet the couple must crawl under the table for a smooch! Super Cute! and if the Groom leaves the top table all the men line up to kiss the Bride and vice versa. Many speeches and a good old danish singalong for the couple (which was sang to the tune of Auld Lang Syne) so I could hum along :-) came the first dance. Which was kinda cool – not only did the couple dance and the guests surround them, the groom was then flung in the air, his shoes pulled off him and get this, the toes of his socks cut off?!! Hilarious!! thankfully Sofie gave me a heads up beforehand to let me know there would be a stampede and some toe action :) The nite ended with Bobbys friends gifting him a painting of a ‘huge cock’ (his words not mine ;-) oh and a surprise speech from his boss at the end of dinner promoting him to VP!! Huge Congrats to Bobby….

Sofie you were an absolutely stunning Bride and you make such a handsome couple! I had so much photographing your engagement and wedding day and all the little details that made your day special. Please enjoy some of my favorites!!

Lots of Love
