I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Baby Arya last week at only 9 days old.
The name Arya is a Sanskrit word used by Hindus, Jains and Buddhists. In various settings Arya can mean kind, noble and respected. In south India, it’s a tradition for a boy to take his father’s first name as his last name, therefore Arya’s last name will be Raghavan.
Arya also has a chinese name, Si Yuan, which comes from a proverb that says “When you drink the water, contemplate its origin. His Mommy chose this name so he will always remember his duo origins.
